In the univariate analysis, the incidence of dry mouth, insomnia, and cough was significantly reduced with orlistat treatment (16 mg/day vs. 5% vs. 1%, respectively) compared to patients taking placebo (16 mg/day vs. 2% vs. 0%, respectively) (Table 2). In the multivariate analysis, orlistat treatment was an important risk factor for dry mouth, insomnia, and cough. tofu (p < 0.05) and tofu (p < 0.01) were also associated with a lower incidence of dry mouth, insomnia, and cough. Calcium carbonate, macadamis, and grapefruit juice were associated with a higher incidence of dry mouth, insomnia, and cough.
